"THE WORLD ON FIRE"

This picture was taken at a turn-off on Illinois Route 59 just past the bridge over IL Route 38, Roosevelt Road, in West Chicago. It is summer at about 5:30 am. I am not such a morning person, but sometimes I stay up all night and can see a nice pretty dawn like this - despite myself.

Acceptance Mark

VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS, YOUR BANK

Go to any exemplar page and use the form there to specify a picture, its size, whether it is to be framed and/or matted and note its price according to the guidelines given there. Remember the picture's title or its number in either type of slideshow gallery sequence (this site's own or FothoThing). Uh oh. you might have to be able to count.

Also give a brief description of the picture if you can, just to make sure of accuracy, using the feedback page. Sorry about this temporary cumbersome procedure. It will be changed. Use it and then use your credit card with PayPal.

Be sure to use the same name on this site's forms as you will use with PayPal. We shall install a shopping cart ASAP.

For a limited time only, you may select a second picture of the same size, et cetera, for no additional charge except for a slightly increased shipping fee. We make no profit on shipping.

The slideshow galleries include FotoThing and an in-house slideshow for each of four categories as seen on the exemplar pages under the Products or Premiums links. There are, perhaps, a dozen dozen pictures on this site.

But you can ask for hundreds more in each of over a eight more categories. LoneTree can mail or email pages and pages of contact prints, which are like thumbnail pictures, in about any nature, landscape or wildlife category you can think of including Cityscapes, Architecture, Old houses & Barns, Antennae/Grain Elevators/Power Towers & Substations, and Planes/Trains/Automobiles as these are "works of Man" as a part of Nature.

LoneTree's prints are always in limited editions (25 or less) regardless of format (size and other parameters). They are always signed by me (or any other artist that we may sponsor) and dated with the edition limit stated in order to make this a true investment for you. LoneTree's Pictures will increase in value by 300% in less than 5 years.

Organization Profile

LoneTree Pictures is a progressive, enlightened, modern Christian enterprise that promotes photographic fine art. Through Van Leeuwenhoek Institute (VLI), we encourage education and research in the arts and sciences. VLI also promotes community involvement by churches and, strangely enough, provides medical literature research and report writing to low income people free of charge.

This medical journal and report research service is for those with very serious or potentially terminal illnesses who wish peace of mind or to assure themselves that they are getting the best treatment available. They may wish to get more information on their condition than physicians normally will provide and public librarians are usually able to give.

LoneTree distributes art by Gary Kent and others. Gary is a cyberphotographer specializing in digital photoserigraphs, computer photopaintings and binary photomicrographs. He likes 35 mm film cameras too, but he digitizes his negatives before printing or distributing them on the Internet. He follows the philosophy of Ansel Adams who espoused the concept wherein fine art must produce in the viewer, his audience, that significant "internal event".

If you make a purchase, Gary will ship to you an original art product of his own creation along with an additional free premium of your choice within size categories depending on the size of your remuneration. By upsizing your payment, you can have your selection custom matted and framed.

With some information about the environment in which you intend to hang his artwork and some general preferences, Gary will make a frame and cut a simple matte that he thinks will best complement his work. Complex compound mattes or filets are extra. He is a vertically integrated artist!

Both products and Premiums range from tiny 4" x 6" prints to jumbo posters and beyond! Even enormous murals and billboards! (In fact, we hope to rent a billboard along Interstate 294 near O'Hare Airport in Chicago that shows nothing but a sublime beautious digital photopainting by Gary or another artist.)

The images prepared by Gary are only the top 4% of his digital photographic output. That is, only the best 20% of his work are selected for consideration and only 20% of these actually make the cut and appear in LoneTree catalogs of products and premiums. He presents to you only the very best of his best!

Email a request for any or all of fourteen catalogs today! Categories include (1)Landscapes, (2) Waterscapes, (3) Cityscapes (presently mostly Chicago, Minneapolis and Eau Claire, Wisconsin); (4) Trees, (5) Birds, (6) other Animals & Insects; (7) Sunrises and Sunsets, (7) The Moon, Stars and Planets; (8) Clouds, (9) Still-Lifes, (10) Flowers; (11) Photomicrographs (mostly crystal forms grown on microscope slides and digitally photomicrographed under polarized light with crossed polars), (12) Antennae, Power Transmission/Water Towers, Grain Elevators & Refineries and (13) Old Barns & Houses (14) Architecture.

If you might sit or stand still for 1/125th of a second, Gary will do a candid portrait of you if you can come to Fall Creek, Eau Claire or Minneapolis OR if he can come to you.

Our Mission

LoneTree Pictures wants to encourage as many people as possible to purchase so that it can distribute some of its funds to churches, artists and researchers and conduct its own artistic endeavors while doing research in the sciences of microscopy, telescopy and image analysis through VLI. LoneTree also wishes to help people get peace of mind about the wisdom of their medical treatment and wants to fund community involvement programs by churches everywhere. We believe in faith-based initiatives as a conduit for volunteerism that is so essential to American society as a whole. We wish to promote a progressive Christian philosophy.

Presently, as an initial project, LoneTree hopes to benefit Resurrection Anglican Church ( http://www.resurrection.org ) in West Chicago, Illinois in its effort to build a new church including a Community Life Center. The Life Center can then serve as a focus for living arts activities for the whole surrounding area. LoneTree also distributes original artwork and classical reproductions to churches, gratis, because we are concerned Christian group.

Contact Information

Contacting LoneTree is almost too easy! Remember this info when contacting LoneTree about purchases or the artwork that we offer as extra premiums or free gifts. Quality premiums are our way of saying thank you for your support..

You do not need to accept a premium in order to make a purchase. It isn't even expected, we just think it would be nice if we offered.

Gary as groom at his recent wedding to Lesley Kay Turner

on September 27, 2008

DID YOU EVER?

Did you ever hear me cryin'?

Do you know just who I am?

When the day is slowly dyin'

Ask a sunset, if you can!

Flaming red rays burst the shadows,

Dark clouds spread toward the blue.

Evening mists wisped o'er these meadows

Where gentle birds of dusk once flew.

Now, my Hell is almost over,

Smokey sunlight fills my eyes.

Knowledge - bent - has now destroyed her

As streaks of contrails fill the skies.

Backward waters flow so rotten,

Sickened soil brings forth Earth's pain

While those whom Dollar Bill has gotten

Even blight midmorning's rain.
