Springtime on the Estate Road
Cantigny (pronounced "kan TEE nee") is a village in France
in which Col. Robert R. McCormick served during WW I. He became the wealthy
owner of the Chicago Tribune and the Tribune Companies and he named his estate
in Wheaton, Illinois, after his beloved village. Nearby are forest preserves named Belleau Woods and some local street names harken to other famous battles
in the European theater. Now,
McCormick's Cantigny has been converted to a world famous park with gardens,
lawns, wooded areas, lakes and ponds and even a golf course.
Can Earth itself ever become a garden again? God started us
off in a garden and has been moving us back in this direction ever since we evolved to be sophisticated enough to know evil. Let us try to see this
aspect of God's Plan.

Resident graphic artist and photographer Gary Kent wants to become the
Ansel Adams of color digital photography, which is not an oxymoron if one
understands Adams' philosophy of the internal event.
We are a producer of computer fine art digital nature photographs and cyber photopaintings, binary
serigraphs or software silkscreens, Christian fine art reproductions, even as
clip-art. We are also a resource for oil painting and photograph restoration,
oil authentication, cleaning and restoration.

any exemplar page and use the form there to specify a picture, its size, whether
it is to be framed and/or matted and note its price according to the guidelines given

Wild and Wilder
I like wild honey bees when they settle upon the wild wild
rose to gather nectar and pollen. The Botanical Garden in Chicago is not exactly
a wilderness but, I think I might see something like this if I hiked through the
lovely Adirondacks or along the beautiful Blue Ridge.
You may notice some pixilation of these images. This is
deliberate, or else I am not concerned, because I want you to purchase my
product at high resolution, not use screen capture to hijack them. But if should
you do this anyway, I would be flattered because eventually I will find out,
especially if you do it a lot.

YELLOW
I met another nature photographer at the Morton Arboretum
in DuPage County near Chicago on one sunny summer day. Just before I took his
picture, which is somewhere on this site (entitled The Photographer), he
told me that his patrons often ask for particular dominant colors. Since then, I
have always been on the lookout for color. You can hardly get any more dominant
than in YELLOW.
Studio C
My Studio C of LoneTree Pictures. First there was
Studio A
in Wheaton. Illinois. It was just a basement room in a small brick house across
the street from Wheaton College. It was nice because it was so close to the
college library and Wheaton Public Library. Then, I acquired wonderful space in the
basement of the Church of the Resurrection in West Chicago. I called it Studio
B. Now, I have moved to Nature Photographer's Paradise in Northwestern
Wisconsin. Studio C is quite large and is actually more like a storefront,
being an old motel (built in 1933) and which is quite suitable for a
business like mine.
Visit Studio C if you go through Eau Claire or even to
Minneapolis/St. Paul by car. Just follow U.S. 12 forever to a spot 8 miles east of Eau Claire,
Wisconsin. You
might find I-94 a lot more convenient, though. If you are traveling east, exit at
U.S. 53 and go north a few miles to eastbound Clairemont Avenue
(U.S. 12) to Fall Creek. Or, if you are traveling west, get off I-94 at the Fall
Creek/Fairchild exit to County Highway HH,
turn right 1/4 mile to KK, turn left and follow the scenic road 5 miles north to U.S. 12 in
beautiful metropolitan Fall Creek, then
hang a left to
"Ye Olde Motelle". You can't miss it. There is signage.
STRONG LOVE
A doe and a stag in courtship on a hillside in a meadow
upon a sunny autumn day. Strong love refers to the kind of love that reaches out
to all, regardless of species, race, gender or ethnicity, worldwide. These tolerant citizens of
Nature always stand firm as I approach because their love includes even me and my
camera. Would that all peoples could have love such as these.
